Travel Tattoo

It hit me a couple weeks ago that I may have some sort of traveler's curse. I flew my bff Tevie Milan down to NY for her b-day and she had troubles at the airport. It bothered me because she always has completely seamless travel experiences and as soon as I'm involved it gets shaken up a bit.

Before this was Detroit...
Ironically I link up with Khaliah Jackson on the M60 (who knew there was a bus that took you to LGA?!?) We are pressed for time and wishing the bus speeds up it seemed like forever before we reached the US Airways departure door. We reached the counter and WHAT?!?

Flight overbooked?... US Airways puts us on the next flight out to Chicago.. hoping we can make our original connecting flight. We get to Chicago and the door closed for our next flight 2 minutes before we arrived. So now we're getting frustrated because we HAVE to be in Detroit by the morning!!! When we're told the next flight wouldn't get us to Detroit until nearly 11am we move on to plan B then C and finally D... we got a Greyhound bus from Chicago to Detroit... it only took us an astronomical 8 hrs. :-( we made it however but this experience definitely goes down in history.

Not to mention the return..... a flight to Philadelphia when we needed to get to NYC... ended up taking Amtrak from PHILA to NY. We all came back to NY with some sort of ailment... from the Flu to Acute Bronchitis :-(

I don't know when I'll be back in Detroit after that. I did get to eat at Coney Island... but missed the hype that surrounds that place?
